RomRaider Logger XML UPDATE version 0.3.5b 10-02-09
--- Now Obsolete, see next post for updates ---To install, for RomRaider versions 0.5.1b and later, see below. The metric and standard definition files are identical, except that the logger units default to metric with the metric file and standard units with the standard file.
How To install logger defs (RomRaider versions 0.5.1b and later):- Download the file of the units you would most likely use from the bottom of this post.
- Unzip the logger.xml file into your preferred definitions directory replacing the existing file (if applicable) or in another directory of your choice where it is unlikely to be moved or deleted.
- Start RomRaider's logger from within RomRaider by selecting "Logger" -> "Launch ECU Logger" from the menu bar.
- From within RomRaider's logger, select "Settings" -> "Logger Definition Location" from the menu bar.
- Select the location of the new unzipped logger.xml file.

The following NEW extended parameters were addedClosed Loop Fueling Target (4-byte)* [32-bit ECU] - This is the closed loop fueling lambda target which is used in determining short-term corrections (A/F Correction #1).
Closed Loop Fueling Target (2-byte)* [32-bit ECU - applicable ECUs only] - This is the 2-byte "engineer's" version.
Fueling Final Base (4-byte)* [32-bit ECU] - This is the final fueling multiplier after corrections are applied but before per injector compensation.
Fueling Final Base (2-byte)* [32-bit ECU - applicable ECUs only] - This is the 2-byte "engineer's" version.
The following NEW standard parameters were addedThe following standard parameters were added to allow those who do not have extended parameter support for their 07+ ECU to log these in-between definition releases:
IAM [Most 07 and later ECUs] - Ignition Advance Multiplier (IAM) as a standard parameter.
Fine Learning Knock Correction [Most 07 and later ECUs] - Fine Learning Knock Correction as a standard parameter.
MISC. CHANGES1. Addressed an issue where the standard parameter 'A/F Correction #3' displayed incorrect values when logging the 32-bit ECU, but the correct values when logging the 16-bit ECU. This is due to the unique nature of this parameter which requires two different conversions for each ECU. Users will need to either select the 'A/F Correction #3 (16-bit ECU)' or the 'A/F Correction #3 (32-bit ECU)' parameter depending on what ECU they are logging.
2. Changes were made to 'Timing Advance' related logger names to reflect the changes in the ECU defs to the more consistent/clear "Knock Correction Advance" description. See link to extended parameter descriptions below.

Currently supported calculated parametersNote: These do not require the custom definitions for each ROM but are rather calculated from standard SSM parameters. These will show up in the normal list of Subaru parameters.
Engine Load (Calculated) (4,4) -> Engine load as calculated from MAF and engine speed. Useful if your ECU is not supported for extended parameters.
Fuel Consumption (Est.) (4,4) -> Estimates current fuel consumption based on MAF, vehicle speed and AFR (front o2).
Injector Duty Cycle (%) (3,3) -> As calculated from injector pulse width and engine speed.
Manifold Relative Pressure (Corrected) (2,2) -> The standard SSM parameter 'Manifold Relative Pressure' is limited to a reading around 18.4 psi. This parameter overcomes this limit by calculating relative pressure by subtracting 'Atmospheric Pressure' from 'Manifold Absolute Pressure'. This effectively raises the limit to about 22 psig at sea level (actual limit will be about 37 psia - local atmospheric pressure).
Currently supported standard SSM (Subaru Select Monitor) parametersRomRaider's logger will display all applicable SSM parameters supported by your ECU. Reference your factory service manual for a list and description of the standard SSM parameters.
