*** Please use newer version RC8 ***

It's time for a new release candidate.

The changes for RC7 (build #306) are:

--- Editor ---
- Fixed Compare map scroll list
- Added support for sign integer data (used in diesel ROMs)

--- Logger ---
- Improved serial connection handling
- MRF Stealth Gauge support added
- Added saving parameter list show/hide to settings
- Added USER input read ability for ZT2
- Added check box to enable/disable COM port refreshing and save the setting

Please download it and give it a workout!

Downloads: Windows Installer | Windows ZIP | Linux Installer | Linux ZIP

Installed and will test today. I log every day so I should be able to give it a decent workout.

Mhh, maybe I did something work again (?!), but still the "int16" value are displayed as "uint16"..
Table properties tells, they are unit16 instate of in16.

Is the keyword for int-values different ?

Pls try out yourself, e.g. "Injection Quantity limiter main (Engine Speed)" is signed or "Conversation Injection Quatity to Torque (Engine Speed, Injection Quantity)" als well all start of injections maps. Attached my chanced diesel-ECU-Deff

Best regards

I believe I've fixed it. Download again from the link above. The "About RomRaider" should indicate build #306.

I'll keep an eye on that in the overhaul, but since it's really going to be written from scratch it probably won't come up.

The only "problem" I found in testing is that the "- Added saving parameter list show/hide to settings" only retains the hide status on the tab that is active when closing RR. If I hide parameters on two tabs, only the one being shown when the program is closed will still be in that state when RR is started.

Yes that's right, and it is the tab that RR opens up on when you restart it. So you'd like it to save that setting for each tab...?

installed using the setup file (non zip) and it started the install and stopped after displaying available space [NExt]
and the next screeen i selected next it just sits there
OS= Windows 7

additional info
I tried installing RC7 with the ZIP file and it installed fine - running the executable JAR file started RR but cant activate and use the LOGGER. Logger screen never started. looking for car.def and logger def screen pop up but never was able to point it to the right location because the logger never started

I tried installing RC6 after using the ZIP file - installed fine and logger started. but does not recognize the com ports (5-tactrix cable, 6-Aem EUGO). Ecuflash installed and is able to recognize the com5 tactrix cable. Lview works fine.

I think the computer is the issue and not the RC7. but not sure

I got the same issue with the install exe with Win 7 (64 bit)

I was able to resolve it by 1 of two things (not sure which as i did both before trying again)
1. Install 32bit java
2. Removing 64bit java

Thanks for the input, it also worked for me. i am dealing with romraider, new laptop 64 bit problem for at least 15 days. removing the 64 bit java is the key;)

Yes, for the Logger to operator correctly you must use 32bit Java and remove the 64bit version.
This is mentoned in the RomRaider FAQ troubleshooting section.
