UPDATE Oct 18-2010:
Fixed a small bug with Throttle Tip-in Enrichment B; X/Y axis addresses were reversed. Please download the lastest version 0.96 to correct this. For those new to tuning, this wouldn't affect any flashes done with the previous def unless you edited the values in that table, which you probably wouldn't have since the values were very obviously messed up.

Original Post:

First version of ECUFlash definitions for a 2011 USDM WRX Sedan.

Most of the important tables are defined, though I still have to add the tip-in enrichment tables. Other than that, all DTCs are defined (thanks dschultz!) and this should get people going on 2011 WRX sedan tuning. The speed limit logic is a bit different for the 2011, so I left those tables out as well.

To install, extract the zip to your ECUFlash\rommetadata folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata). This will correctly install the file into the correct subdirectory (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\subaru\Impreza WRX\AE51910L.xml)

Let me know if there are any issues and, as always, use at your own risk.

Note:
If someone wants to PM me with a ROM from a 2011 WRX hatch, I'll get some definitions up for that too.

A RomRaider logger definition with extended parameter support is going to take longer.

Nah, don't worry about it. A thank you is sufficient. :) I'll knock out the rest of the tables tonight but all the good ones are there.

UPDATE Oct 18-2010:

- Added most of the missing tables (manifold pressure sensor tables, idle speed targets, sensor calibration tables, etc.) The only remaining tables left to be defined are cranking fueling tables, Radiator Fan Speed A-C and Gear Determination Thresholds A-C. Unless people need them, I'll probably leave them until I have a chance to finalize the ROM.

Updated definition attached to first post.

That means you downloaded the latest ECUFlash METRIC definitions or are using the base files that come with ECUFlash (which I guess are metric?) Just download the latest STANDARD ECUFlash definitions then and you should be good to go.

My definitions don't make any references to unit types. All the scaling definitions are defined in 32BITBASE.xml.

The definitions shouldn't affect your ability to connect to the ECU, that's just a handshake via SSM. The defs simply act as a template over a binary image and allow you to modify the underlying data. The logger defs are simply addresses that are used for pulling data from the car.

Are you sure that 2011 you're trying to connect to doesn't have EcuTek or a Cobb AccessPort installed on it?

Are you saying that you have two cars, a 2010 and a 2011, that you're downloading ECU images from, but you are having a problem with the 2011 ECU?

What error are you receiving when you try and download the stock ROM from the 2011 WRX? Can you post the text from ECUFlash's output window?

Try to provide a little more information. The definitions have nothing to do with downloading from the ECU, they are only used to make sense of the image after it has been downloaded.

I will get you a copy of the error text tonight. I can log w/ romraider but ECUflash seems to be having issues.. but once again only with the 2011.. the 2010 is fine, and my friend's 06 STi is readable..

Thanks. It's strange that you're having problems with that one car as other people have had no issues accessing 2011s (STIs or WRXs.) The only thing I can think of is that the 2011 has a flash on it already (AccessPort or EcuTek.) Do you know the build date of the 2011?
