I was able to source a stock actuator but have not had a moment to install it. Once installed I will rework the wg tables and post up some logs. I respectfully disagree with you. What temp was the run done at? If not at the coldest temp you will ever drive, then I don't think it is successfully solved.

It is not solved.
I should have said I managed to tune around it until I install the replacement actuator. That is why I have left the tune as is for now. Right now it is peaking at around 16.5 at redline in 25 degree weather. Although 20-25 is the coldest we usually see in the winter (there are some 15 degree days, but not many), I know it could overboost a lot more...i plan on installing the actuator soon.

I still think the actuator will not matter. But feel free to prove me wrong.

I hope it works..I will report back.
Even if it does not fix it, I think I will be fine with the tune as is. I only drive the car on the weekends, it is not my DD. 95% of the time that I do drive it, I am logging. And considering the overboost possibility, I will just not drive hard in any weather below 25!

So I finally sat down and inspected the replacement stock actuator I have. When I put a handpump to it, it is reacting more or less like the one bolted up to turbo. I am starting to think (just like littlebluegt is/was) that the WG issue is not the cause of the overboost problem. With that said, I just left the existing actuator in and I worked on tweaking the boost a little..it is a work in progress, but the results look pretty good. Moving around 300 g/sec.. I also zero'd out the tip in table..nothing notable happened, feels more or less the same. Here are a few logs for the curious...I am still working on the boost, it looks like it is initially too low, followed by an overboost.

I am having an odd problem that I believe could be remedied with the compensation table..but maybe not. I am running the MAF stock compensation table. However, after upgrading injectors and dialing in the maf perfectly in the winter, I am leaning out on the high-end (240-300 g/s) now that the days are getting warmer. Yesterday, temp was about 60 and I was running lean on the high end; I managed to rescale the high end maf with 1-2% error. Today, logging runs in the early morning showed maf was spot on. Later in the afternoon (10-15 degrees warmer) logs are showing I am off by a whole point (12 vs 11.1 target) in the high end...enough to cause lean induced knock. My fuel trims are and have always been within 1%; the tune is set to not allow correction in the D range (55 + g/sec)...any ideas? The leaning out has only popped up in the warm weather, the original tune was done over the winter.
