Hi All,
I have a 2005 forester DBW NA MT. The problem is that the ROM version is e2zj123h as read by a hex editor (apparently the e2zj121h IS supported, but not this one). Both ECUflash and RomRaider refuse to read it with "definition not found" errors. Yes, I have the latest defs. I have a short ram I want to exploit. . .
I have attached the rom in .hex format (Pulled successfully with ECUflash) in the hope that someone can define the XML for it. . . I'm sure others will benefit as well!
Thanks all.
Mega
EDIT: Or - if you give me the specs I can create the XML myself - I just need the general process instructions (like what tool you use, what is the base XML, etc. .. ). Thanks.

Don't give up! I will look into in the next week or so. I'm sorry for the delay, I'm still trying to get used to the 32bit stuff Andy

No Problem - if I had the details I may be able to create the definition myself.
I think this will help quite a few NA drivers on here!
Thanks again, Nick

I apologize, the 32bit stuff is taking me a bit longer to get a decent grasp on than I had expected. I have the ROM saved and will start working on it as soon as I can.

Andy,
Have a look at SD VE tables at this ROM
0xC3910 VE 0xC389C ManifoldPressure (13) kPa 0xC38D0 EngineSpeed (16)
0xC3CC4 VE alternative 0xC3C50 ManifoldPressure (13) kPa 0xC3C84 EngineSpeed (16)
Probably they are used at MAV failure conditions. Is there any other?
I have sent ecuFlash defs that Nick asked for.

Those seem to be the only tables used in that area, though I cannot verify that the are in fact SD tables used for MAF failure. I have not gone through this ROM as much as I would have hoped by now. These past few weeks have been very busy, I apologize.

Hi elevenpoint7five and Sasha_A80,
Thanks a bunch for the ECUflash def. I got my issue with the dead spot at WOT cleared up. Any idea when a RomRaider def will be available so I can really dig in to this ROM?
Also, I don't think I have AVCS Sasha. Thanks a bunch!
Nick

There is no difference what tool you are using for ROM corrections.
You may add appropriate corrections to your own copy of ecu_defs.xml using e2zj123h.xml definition for ecuFlash I had provided.
Anyway it is not allowed "unofficial" ecu_defs.xml to be uploaded here. All additions should be incorporated into a local copy manually.
