Hi all just wondering if anything ever eventuated for the EZ30D non AVCS H6 Outbacks/Lib's or if it's even on the cards anymore. For years i've heard people wanting some sort of tune but no one ever thought there was a worthwhile market or if it was worthwhile doing. I realise the gains for this model would be seriously limited but with such a gutless SOB any increase would be welcomed.
Does anyone know of a tune for this EZ30D H6 model ? ADM ,JDM USDM ? Or will there ever be ?

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6322There's a blog about there by a guy who is reverse-engineering some ROMs for Subaru's diesel engines. I don't remember the URL but you might be able to find it with some Google searching. Sorry I can't offer you more....

D for Dual over head cam.
EG33D, EJ25D, etc etc.
The 2005+ EZ30 is still designated EZ30D. Never did SUBARU refer to it as an EZ30R. The 3.0R was a model name.
Back on topic. These ECU's are reflashable as I've seen it done. However, there are no real definitions out there so far.
I would like to get a complete definition for them if possible. I would be willing to pay someone to do so...

Are you able to post your ROM so a definition can be created for the purposes of tuning?

You just need to connect your flash connectors and read the rom in ECU flash, then upload the file here.

Attached is a 2001MY USDM Legacy Outback Wagon, 4EAT, with VDC, ECU case is 22611AE98D.
The second file is the same, but WITHOUT VDC. 2001MY USDM Legacy Outback Wagon, 4EAT, NON-VDC, ECU case is 22611AE98D.
Both are EZ30D, non AVCS, 3.0L DOHC.
It is NOT equipped with a MAF. It does have a MAP sensor on the throttle body, an IAT sensor in the airbox near the throttle body and 2 AF sensors, one per bank. My guess is speed density.
