I got a ishue with two guys, wanting to log theire EURO5 Diesel..

Both got a "simple" KKL-Interface witch works on a EURO4 Diesel with WindowsWP and Windows7
These EURO4 engines got the "normal" SSMIII protocol like all Subarus. We deffine the RomRaider logger deffintions for them.

But now, connecting the interface to a EURO5 Diesel, they got no connection..
We tryed differerend divers etc..

So one of the ideas, why the RomRaider, as well as FreeSSM-Diagnostic Tool, do not connect to the EURO5 engines could be, the physical layer of the protocoll has chanced to CAN ?

Does anyone knows something had chanced when getting to EURO5 ?

As I reat the MJ2011 WRX STI works with RomRaider Logger, so I guess a european WRX STI will work too, and according to this, I would expact the Diesel also ..
But how the hell these guys get no connection ?

We had no chance to cross-check there interfaces/labtops to EURO4 Diesel..

Any hints / ideas ?

Try to get responce from 0x01 ecu address instead of Subaru specific 0x10.

is there any chance to change the scanner request for a non programmer ?

Me and the guys, who tested on theire Diesel are "end-user"

Is there a prozess in RomRaider Logger, to switch the request, when subaru spezfic 0x10 will not work ?

for me to unterstand:

I collect some of the infos I found in all links you posted.
If there will be a SSMviaCAN communction the start-up or better the basics ot knowing the calibration ID etc. have to be a k_line baesd communication.
So, If the EURO5 Diesel got SSMviaCAN, I get the calibration ID with a non-CAN-interface and after that, the section will stopp ?!

There is allready a DBC-file for the Diesel and infos on the Subaru Diesel Crew page. I can sent it to you, to test it on a pentrol ECU and look if there any paralleles in the description ?

This ecuExplorer version tries to connect to 0x10 and 0x01 ecu. There is 0x18 TSM request as well.

Yes, I have JDM2003 32bit ecu on the bench.

Unfortunately just a throttle controller chip is on the CAN bus that sends 0x410 CANID message for AT ecu. There is no CAN code at all ( besides primary CANbootloader on the channel that not connected outside the ecu PCB ) within the SH7055 processor.

Subaru Disel Crew started a call of trying to communicate and sniffing CAN-parameters via OP 2.0 stand-alone logger.

If you try to logging the diesel parameter via CAN and stand-alone logger, it works as we all know from the EURO4 one.

So the parameters for the EURO5 diesel itself seem to be the same, only the physical layer of the communitcation was chanced for K-Line to CAN..

So maybe we´ve got a new item for the logger devellopment: CAN-logging ..

EURO5 Diesel got a NEW protocol !

As you can read on Subaru Diesel Crew Site, the EURO5 Diesel got a new Protocol for diagnosic.
Next to the new SSM3 protocol, the SSM2viaCAN is as well supported

Diesel Crew expacts the new protocoll in new MJ2012 petrol engine too

We will see..
