I've written up my "-1.01" FLKC trick three times now because I can't (or don't know how to...) link directly to the post I made about it in the learning view thread.
That got me thinking that it would be nice to have a subforum dedicated to "how-to" or "tips and tricks" posts. There's also the wiki, but that doesn't have the interactivity that a forum has. There's the Tuning forum, but that's more about problems than suggestions, so finding great suggestions is a bit like panning for gold. They're in there, but they're diffused.
It would also be a good place for FAQ-type information, which is someone underutilized on the wiki.
Yea or nay?

I don't know. There are very few how-to posts or FAQs that people have made to begin with and most of those have specific forum that are more appropriate (for example, ecu analysis). I don't think adding a forum would spur a bunch of how-tos and faqs by people, would it? If it was a popular how-to related to tuning, then I would probably just sticky it in the tuning discussion forum, but there really hasn't been one. Maybe others can chime in about any how-tos or faqs they would like to do and we'll see if there's enough response.

It might be just as good to sticky "how-to" threads, until there are enough in each subforum to justify creating a single sticky "list of how-tos" thread with links to the others (like the "threads of note" sticky on one of the other Subaru forums).

Well, if there were enough, it might justify creating a new sub-forum. That is what happened with the "tuning utilities and spreadsheets" forum that MickeyD suggested. We already had a good handful of those in stickies that were very popular and had many views and even a number of other, more minor, spreadsheets and utilties. That doesn't seem the case with how-tos right now, but maybe that will be different in the future.
