I've been using Romraider to datalog on my laptop regularly for at least 4-5 months now. Suddenly one day I try opening Romraider logger and it refuses to open. I've tried rebooting my laptop, then thoroughly and carefully went through the installation troubleshooting steps http://www.romraider.com/Documentation/ ... rFAQ#toc39 I followed everything exactly right up through step 27 and Romraider still won't open. ECUFlash still opens normally, but why bother flashing if I can't datalog, right? Any idea what's gone wrong here?

Here's a hint that may be relevant. Shortly prior to this, I noticed my Tactrix 2.0 cable developed a loose fit in the connection between the OBD2 block and micro USB cable. I've been afraid to think about flashing any map until getting that fixed or a different cable, but figured no harm in using it to datalog. The cable still seemed to be working though, colorful lights go on when plugging it in from either end. But Romraider obviously should open without the cable though. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Openport 2.0 driver and that didn't help.

No error message. The romraider logo with the ship pops up then goes away after a few seconds. Nothing else happens.

No need to re-install anything. Just delete the settings.xml file in: C:\Users\your_user_name\.RomRaider\

Wow! Uninstalled and reinstalled everything when the real fix took just a few seconds. Thanks a million!

On an unrelated note, does Tactrix have a phone number contact anyone know? I need to complain about my Tactrix 2.0 cable's poor quality and unreliable connection, seems they're slow to respond to emails.
