now ive an another question,


January there is now building a new engine for me, an 2003-2005 Blobeye STI engine, with a VF37 Twinscroll Turbo, im getting the ECU also, but does anybody know the ECU-codes from these cars ?!

because i wanna try to make a start setup. because the ecu that im getting is possibly mapped and locked.. we cant get the code for now....

if its a twinscroll car then it's gonna be a JDM model - ECU might be any of the following:

You won't know until you see it - you'll be needing the engine loom as well to go with that engine otherwise a lot of things are gonna need rewiring and give you headaches though. Your current setup doesn't have any AVCS control and you'll be needing that to get the turbo spinning up nicely.

i will ask the guys to try again read the ecu...
and i know will get the total pack :

Complete Engine incl. exhaust manifold / Downpipe/ engine loom, avcs wiring to the ecu, and the ecu.

Hi Guys !!

First A Merry Christmas !!


Now ive my SECOND Tactrix 2.0 OBD module...

and for the second time it crashed....

it works for one evening.... and now the lights dont turned on when i connect it with my laptop...
Also when i put it on my OBD2 Port there happens nothing....

Ive already contact the seller (again) that it doenst work anymore...



Maybe you guys can help me to find a reason why it crashed/ defect anytime...


Ive a MacBook Air, with Parallel Desktop with Windows XP...
When i connect it on the first time, i can select with wich desktop i wanna connect the Tactrix.. so i select the windows, it turns on without any problems ive also connect it with the car without problems...
When im done with loggs of flashing, i turned the ignition off, go to settings and disconnect the tactix after that is done i put out the USB cable to complete disconnect.

And now the next day i wanna connect it and there where nothing happens...

ive already tried to use an another USB cable, with some hope that was the problem.. but that wasnt...
then i thought maybe it wont connect anymore with the laptop so ive tried an another laptop and PC but at both machines it doenst connect...


When i put my "old 1.5 Serial OBD Tactrix 1.0" it connects direct without problems...

I hope you guys can help me because im a little bit angry for the second time it crashed in one day.. im a little bit hopeless now.... i dont know if the seller pay for a second time a new one....

have you tried contacting tactrix directly? Their support is always very good anytime i've spoken with them.

ive had contact with Tactrix, found the problems.... it was a fake one.. twice... and lost my money... so im going to order a new one at Tactrix them self...



Also the swapping engine project is started, got the basemap of the complete JDM engine.. end compare it with a downloaded stock map. and it is stock :P so i can start of the beginning with a remap..

ive already patched the map with tiny-wrex because i love the launch sound haha.
the next steps when the engine is working im gonna log it, to see what is does on EDM (Netherlands) Ron98 fuel. ive read on some forums that the JDM fuels are different than EDM fuels..

if it is permitted i can upload the .hex file..

The mapping is stock , the VF37-twinscroll is set at 1.2 bar- 550 Pink injectors. And JDM fuel settings.
and they have made a AVCS-harness so that the AVCS works.

Ive got the STOCK downpipe incl. the Cats.. still looking for a 2,5" open Downpipe but they are a kind of expensive....


I do not know if I have to go somewhere to change something ?

On my Impreza are some " upgrades" :
Walbro fuel pump 255L
FMIC
there are fresh 7B spark plugs .
2.5 " Open mid pipe and 2.5 " ScoobyJapstyle endpipe.

And just maybe someone knows, because the key to a JDM STI is without a transponder , I have to teach my current keys yet again or will expire this because a JDM has no immobilizer.

The last question for now... does somebody know what BhP / Nm-Torque is reachable with this kind of setup??
got some plans for a 6MT gearbox... but in the " test phase" i'll drive with the stock 5MT WRX gearbox....

Got some new problems...



The JDM ECU doenst run on a EDM car..
Than i have to re-pin some pins on de the ecu and delete the Immobilizer.
ive got now a EDM STI 03 ECU.


Now I have written the JDM folder on the EDM ECU . Now I'm not exceed 1.0 bar on the gauge . Target Boost comes nog higher than 1.365 Bar Absolute in the logs.

We had opened the backup file, in EF i see some Grey tables..
But cant opend them because this error : The current map discription is invalid or incomplete. Please edit the map discription to fix the problem and the map will be viewable again.


We tried everyting ( as we know about EF) but it doenst help..


Does somebody know if it is possible to open this maps, we think that maybe the ecu / map block something. everything what we tried it doest help to get the boost higher. (WGDC / BC-TB).

when you say you loaded the JDM rom onto the EDM ecu, did you just flash the rom straight on or did you go through the process of copying the tables over one by one?

ive copied all tables one by one.

and after copie compared the roms, and checked them dubble one by one again, everything is the same...

and still dont get the 1.2 bar turbo boost.

a few weeks later...


found the problems, there where some tables still different... (turbo dynamics) and some other settings..

now the setup drives almost perfect, a few small changes on a remap and it would be perfect :)

Im back guys :)
The twin-scroll setup is crazy.. that stock 1.3bar Boost ect i love it !
a friend of me drives now with the same setup and we both want some more..


We got both now a EDM 03 (A4RN200H) ecu, with the TinyWRX Patch but we want some more...
we wanna try to get the Carberrymod on our cars... to get some more fun..


Ive downloaded the latest version of ECUFlash from there site, it works perfect.

but how can we get the carberry mod on the map....


is there somewhere a How-To file ?!

you need to read all the carberry threads and pickup the info - it's not a patch for a standard rom file it's a patch for the group-N rom (it's included in the carberry download). Once you create your "blank" carberry map then copy all your tables over to it (don't do this blindly as some tables may be different layouts/shapes!) and then check out your MAF scaling and fuelling with a wideband to make sure all is well.

A friend of me got a tune from Holland.

It is de "child" version of ALS.

during a drive, with a low engine load we got the Pops 'N Bangs :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I need for my setup a few little changes, than i is almost perfect.

It is a STI EDM 03 Map, with a Twinscroll VF37 Turbo -Manifold and Uppipe - Kinugawa Actuator, Full 2,5 Exhaust - FMIC - Walbro 255L - NGK 7B Sparks.

A log is follow.... 8)

So maybe when somebody see some changes tips please give me a sign !

For now i dont have any knock or CELS. and the car drives perfect.

Only in Cruise mode between 2500 RPM and 3000 RPM the car is not very stable..

Hi Guys,

Ive installed a Perrin 4-Bar Map Sensor by OMNI Power.

Fallowed all step-by-step manual how to install and flash it in .

But now after full boost run or cruise modes im getting a CEL.... (P0068)

Dont know anymore what to do...

The manual what was add by the box says i need to setup like this.
Cobb AccessPORT/OpenSource Tuning MAP Sensor Cal (Located Manifold Pressure Sensor/Manifold Pressure Sensor Scaling)

Standard Units: Metric Units:

Multiplier (PSIa/Volt) 12.087 Multiplier (BAR/volt) .833
Offset (PSIa) .168 Offset (BAR) .012
MAP Sensor Voltage DTC Limit High, change to 5 V
MAP Sensor Voltage DTC Limit Low, change to 0 V

And i Read on the PerrinPerformance site manual :
