Still no luck unfortunately. I can see my car in the rommetadat/subaru/impreza sti but it's still not showing. Should the updated base maps be 16 or 32 bit?

Yes I downloaded that one and placed it into the base fold as suggested but still not showing the car?

No error message it's just that my car is not showing up on the initial drop down list after I have connected to the ECU.

Correct. I am trying to download the ROM. The vehicle list only goes to 2007 models. My car is an Australian spec 2011 STi. The weird thing is I have updated the ECU defs and added my car to the STi Impreza folder and can see it at the bottom of the folder but it isn't populating through to the drop down list when I first connect to the ECU so I can't go any further.

Sounds like flash methods, which is separate from definitions. Definitions are only used for reading rom images on hard drive.
If there's anything listed as "Subaru CAN", that should work. If not, post the full list. It's been a while since I've used the read/dump feature.

Yes there is a Subaru CAN choice on the list. I didn't try it as it thought it may affect the download. I'll give it a go and also write a list of the cars listed. Is there another way I should be updating the vehicle list?

Cheers Merp. Thank you very much for your help. I'll try a download tonight using the CAN choice and see how I go.
