I set up the tables 1st gear at 500 and 6th gear at 400 The gears worked out to be this: 1st 500 requested tq 2nd 480 requested tq 3rd 460 requested tq 4th 440 requested tq 5th 420 requested tq 6th 420 requested tq neutral 400 requested tq I set up wastegate duty columns for each gear and was able to control boost by gear.
I also confirmed that Requested tq limit a is for sport and requested tq limit b is for sport sharp I am glad to see you saw the same thing I did. Its odd that 5th and 6th get the same requested torque value, wonder why that is? What were the mods on this 2011? I see the map name so maybe that's a clue, but I was just curious. I'm still playing around with my WGDC table to hit my target boost. Also - how to do you tune Sport vs Sport #? Do you go for different boost levels. I was planning to try to hit different boost targets for each mode and I was wondering if this might be tricky if you have the WGDC table setup to take advantage of the per gear torque limit tables.

Hi,
Can you please check on A8DK100P if it has Per Gear Max Requested Torque? Attached is the stock rom.
Kind Regards,
Mark

Boost control is throttle based in that rom not requested tq based so even if there was a requested tq limit it would not effect boost control in any way.

Yep, bit disappointing this method cant be used for older subarus. For now, Im limited to setting higher wgdc down low then thats it. I can use the 1st gear boost comp but again, just limited to that.

Ah, good to know.. thanks for that. so in petrol enignes it will work well, to reduce the maximium troque depenting on this limiter. I hope in at the Diesel the gear depentend injection limiter will also limitates the "driverswish" instate of the maximum allowed injection aount. If not, boost reques will be to high if this limter is active and driver request is still maximum torque

Hrrmm I dig it, thanks for finding these!
I was able to pull up these tables for the 09xt, but the 08/9/10 wrx maps won't load these tables, however the 2011 sti rom will load as well.
Specifically sub 401a 401v 910l 701v roms for some reason won't load.
Tried updating my ecuflash def's, and re-adding the code and removing the code several times to no avail, any suggestions. Like i said the 09xt gets pulled up along with the 2011 sti table, i'm confused as to why the wrx tables are not being enabled.

Just had a dig around in AZ1G201G 08 STi EDM - doesnt look like these tables exist anywhere in the hex. Would I be right? Certainly nowhere around DD470.

Definitely there, used them - ah, ok I see throttlehappy's posted the location. Check out this thread for a range of 'experimental' definitions for your rom: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=6058

Edit: put those into the def: AZ1G201G has 500 in every cell anyway......

The idea is not to have 500 in every cell to get per gear control I change the 1 to a 2, leave the 500 in place and then drop the 6th gear torque values to control 4th/5th/6th gear boost targets with the new 2nd gear axis line fine tuning for 2nd and 3rd gear boost control, interpolates everything from 2nd to 6th gear. Finally use the 1st gear compensation to dial in 1st gear target boost etc.

My answer was based on the fact that I use this calibration in my E85 burning Time Attack Sti. I want - zero - torque control the whole time. Obviously the thinking is different for a normal road car, but not in this instance

I assume you are thinking along the lines that these tables are for torque limiters... LS1 torque management style? These two tables are different Although that is what I thought it was at first as well haha. Actual flywheel torque is not affected, however the Target Boost/WGDC is raw torque dependant which is where WGDC can be controlled to stop overboost/underboosting on a per gear basis Note the WGDC values for requested raw torque. I used 400>425>450>475>500 since it gives me one extra cell If you manipulate the tables right... you can use SI-Drive as a boost controller and still have per gear control Edit: This just got me thinking... The A & B tables on a non-STi, are they switched by the Cruise Button? ie Cruise on = A, Cruise Off = B? If so, boost controller under the right thumb would be nice.
