My setup: 2006 Legacy GT 93 Octane gas Mods: Xo2 FMIC Greddy RS BOV (100% Recirc) Typhoon Intake Stock Gutted DP (1st cat only) Stock Gutted Up Xo2 Mid and Y pipes Magnaflow fufflers I am running MickeyD's map and the car is running great..almost no knock and pretty smooth. I think there is room for a little more improvement but I am a complete noob. Car pulls hard in low and and mid, then it feels as if it falls a little flat after 4000 rpm. i plan on making a few more log runs including a learning view. Here are some Logs: Temp about 60 degrees Atmospheric pressure was at 14.75 (I think) Here is my first 3rd gear run: http://www.box.net/shared/cg735jvytiHere is my second 3rd gear run: http://www.box.net/shared/m1qj2iimatHere is my Tune: http://www.box.net/shared/06mze7ettfI am looking for some input on how I could improve on the tune.

Your tune can make more power than Infamous1's tune because you're at a lower elevation. You can see that at low rpm, you're overboosting. The higher boost is probably okay. At high rpm, you can safely make a little bit more boost for more power.
Do you have any other logs?
If you want, I can adjust your boost settings and see if that helps but the iteration will be a guess based on the data that is provided. In this particular case, I would really like to see the boost curve in 4th gear. All you need to do is a 4th gear log from 2000 to 3000 rpm. You will probably overboost so if you let go of the throttle at 3000 rpm, it won't hit fuel cut.
Either way, I'll post something later tonight.

Thanks Mickey, I will try to get the learning view and 4th gear log tonight.
Will the NJ 93 octane I have available help the tune much? I think the original tune was for 91 octane.

The higher octane will let you run a little more timing and a little leaner.
Do you have a WBO2? If not, you should leave the OL fuel table alone.
The hardest part is to tune boost. I'll help you with that and then from there, you can slowly up the timing in regions where you never exhibit knock and see if you can get away with it.

How many miles have you driven since your last ecu reflash/reset?
Also, don't rename your romraider logs or learning views. The standard naming convention helps me keep track of stuff.

Okay..won't rename.
I flashed on friday..I probably put 15-20 miles, tops. Mostly log runs..and some cruising.

Try this... I am using a different boost tuning methodology. I think I can get the same performance in 3rd gear with less oscillation in 5th gear. Boost was increased by 0.5 psi and I changed the WGDC tables.
Fine Learning knock correction rpm range was expanded too.
You don't need to log MAFv.
Don't log feedback knock correction or KC. Just log knock sum AND do a learning view before each log.
Do a log in 2nd gear from 2000 rpm. Do this log first.
Then do a 3rd gear log from 2000 rpm.

Great, thank you.
I cannot find knock sum on Romraider logger. I am pretty sure I have the latest logger defs. Is it a check box, just like all the other variables I log?

you need to be actually connected to the ECU, since it is an ECU-specific parameter.

Sorry. Those logs aren't going to work.
IAM didn't climb to 1 yet. You have to do a constant 50 to 70% throttle to set IAM. In the next revision, I'll set rough correction to 3.2 g/rev. That'll make it easy for IAM to climb. Right now, it's limited to about 2.5 g/rev.
Also, you should save your parameters as a profile. That way, all you need to do is reload your profile and away you go.
You logged Turbo Dynamics Integral twice. YOu only need to log it once. Log the 2 byte version since it is smaller and just as good.
In your 3rd gear log, I don't see primary wastegate duty cycle.
Do not log IAM. IAM shows up in learning view. That's all that is needed.
Make sure you log Load DIRECT (g/s). Load calculated doesn't work well with 32 bit ecus. I'm not sure why. I think there are a lot of corrections.
Take a look for a low byte version of throttle. I can't remember the name, but I think there is a new 2 byte version. If you can't find the 2 byte version, use the 4 byte version.
I did notice that you did not get a shift knock. Must be the conservative nature of the tune plus the fact that IAM is not yet 1.

Okay, I will do all of the above and log again.
I am learning as I go, so I apologize for missing a few variables. I will learn how to save the parameters as a profile.
Is the timing that is being pulled at around 2000-3000 rpm a result of the IAM not being at 1? I am assuming the tune is safe to drive around town?
