ok, on my way home it worked fine... (11/6/08)

the only thing i did different was reboot the laptop and NOT run learning view before starting rc4

dm

this morning on my way in no go 1kb log files (11/7/08)
worked on the way home from work (11/7/08)

I thought of something else, when I'm home with the laptop I have a wireless usb mouse that I'll use.
Any chance that disconnecting/removing the wireless mouse is giving me this empty log file issue??

Would it be better if I posted this in the troubleshooting section??

Windows vista
Tactrix 2.0 rev C.
0.5.1b RC4
newest ECUFLAsh

flashed ECM last night via ecuflash, this morning logger worked great. leave work this afternoon, worked fine. got home looked at the logs, deleted logs. went to make some more logs and it would not work anymore.

I have tried to uninstall, reinstall as admin like 4-5 times now, I am getting worn out. I try to run as admin still does not work. I have rebooted, updated drivers, updated java, anything I could gain from these posts, I believe I tried.

I attached my romraider.log file. any insight?

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

If you look at the file you posted, it's full of errors saying it can't load logger.xml. Are you sure you have the latest logger definitions in the RomRaider directory?

dude, I don't know what I was thinking. it works now after installing the ECU Defs and Logger Parameters. wonder how it lost something not to work earlier?

thanks a ton, I figured that out the first time I downloaded it, but not the second time. :? frustrating.

Note that the ecu and logger definitions are no longer included!! You need to go and get the ones you use and add them yourself! The logger now supports configuration of the location of the logger definition file - use this!

FYI, you can place the logger.xml file anywhere you want and then configure the logger to point at it. It doesn't need to be in the RR directory anymore.

Kascade, I forgot to give thanks for the excellent integration for the new cable. Really outstanding.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Still a couple of little things to sort out and then I'll do an official release.

Kascade, did you happen to catch Colby's post in the Openport 2.0 thread the other day?
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=24412900&postcount=361

I posed a question in response to that but I don't think he's hardly ever on NASIOC. Does that mean that the RomRaider logger could implement the stereo jack LC-1 logging through the OP 2.0 now if the proper ISO9141 commands were issued over the J2534 protocol that's currently being used?

It kinda sounded that way to me but I didn't know if I was reading too far into what he said. I don't have any real understanding of how the protocols work aside from a little reading I've done on the drewtech site.
