Hey folks,
I was wondering how this table works. I read the def for it and understand what it does but do not under stand the why it does this part. Can I use this to try to get better spool out of the old VF22? Is this what it is for? Can I use this table to get alittle quciker response from the turbo? Is this table anyhing we should be messing with? Just curious. Any helpful input on this would be great.
Thanks
Jeff

Yup.Same question. Not sure how to use this table and how it interfaces with the main wastegate duty cycle table.

idle is determined by throttle position. It is something like < 1.7% TPS = idle, > 1.7% TPS (actually there's a hysteresis, but you get the point). So, the initial off-idle wgdc table is only going to have an impact at this low throttle position, in which the initial wgdc will be set to this table's value (when leaving "idle"), BUT it will be limited by your max wgdc. So, if max wgdc is zero in the first column, then the table will have no impact.

So basiclly this can be used to set the intial wastegate duty cycle higher at lower speeds/throttle positions but at idle have the solenoid basicly at rest if you want to?I'm just trying to see if this can be tuned for a performance benifit and if this is kinda how you would do it.I do have my duty cycle set at 0 in the lower rpm/throttle position areas.

WGDC always = 0 at idle. So, the initial WGDC off-idle is applied (once) when leaving idle but is limited by max wgdc. So, if, when you leave idle (which is when you hit that very low throttle opening), your max wgdc = 0 then the initial off-idle table will do nothing.
