Could this possibly be a problem with the map that im trying to use?

farnk wrote: Could this possibly be a problem with the map that im trying to use? That log is from an attempt to flash an 04? If so, you can't use an 02 map to flash an 04 or 05 because the flash method is different. If the vehicle is stock, then pull the original image and tune that.

I was just trying to figure that out, is the map a map for an 02?? I was told it was for an 05

You can still do plenty of damage with a simple "reflash", especially when you're trying to flash incompatible ROM's across model years and ECU revisions. For reference, you could have solved this in 10 seconds. I will post screenshots for where you can find the relevant information for any standard ROM file you may download or pull from a car. Before attempting to flash, at a bare minimum, be sure the domestic market, model and submodel, year and transmission information is correct for the vehicle. Editing the original version on the ECU is usually best.

Thats why I have only been doing test flashes. Get the error and go no further.
Thanks for the info tho.
Edit: one more thing, are the bugeye flash methods the same? (02-03) or is the 02 different from other years 03-05?

the USDM bugeye 02/03 flash method is the same, while the USDM 04/05 is different. You should edit the ROM that is on the ECU. There's no reason you should have to flash a different year ROM.
