Slightly OT -- Regardless of the Dell Quickset Utility settings or the position of the wireless switch, I can't get RC3 and my 1.3 cable to connect on my new Inspiron 1525. Mine doesn't even have BlueTooth. It's a fairly basic model that I had hoped would get me going again painlessly :(

Learning View works fine, as does LogWorks3 with my LC-1. ev8siv3, do you still have a distributable of RC2 available that I could test?

I reverted to the last release -- 0.5.0b -- and was able to connect just fine. Should I re-install RC3 and attempt to capture the log files?

Try RC4, it now opens with Bluetooth enabled and sees my Com7+Com14 virtual serial ports.

Still no worky here (RC3 or RC4).

0.5.0b is still the last working release for me on this laptop.

Use RC4 and post up your romraider.log in the RC4 thread.

so just skimming this thread it seems like most people with vista are getting the sw to run now...I am thinking about pulling the trigger and getting the 2.0 system....but am worried that it won't work. Bill does the current release have most things fixed? It looks like i should remove and reinstall rr and ecuflash as well as all def. ... is that what seems to be working for folks?

Thanks

It seems the issues with Vista are solved by running the RR test release installer as admin (right-click) and possibly the RR executable as admin as well. Some other have had problems with bluetooth adaptors. All of this is outlined in this thread.
