First off my car is setup as follows.

2004 STi
Headers
Uppipe
Stock turbo
APS Top Mount
Parallel Hallman MBC with prodrive BCS to ensure safe max boost
Nismo/JECs 720 injectors
Catted DP
Borla hush cat back
WI with M5 nozzle

Everything not including the water injection is tuned via hacked ROM.

Now, with my UTEC I'd like to create a map that leans AFRs and adds a couple degrees of timing when injecting 50/50 water meth.

My problem is that when I switch to a map that pulls fuel, my car goes insanely RICH.

My best guess is that the UTEC is expecting stock injectors and altering pulse width accordingly, which with larger than stock injectors is resulting in a pulse width that holds for too long for the increased flow of the Nismos, causing me to go rich.

Is this correct?

Everything worked quite well with stock injectors.

Did you change the "stock injector size" in the parameters to 720? If so, the UTEC is expecting 720cc injectors for stock. Then set the current injector size (directly under the stock injector parameter) to 720.

really its better to just scale them in the UTEC and leave them alone in the ECU. Remember, the UTEC is in control of fueling 100% of the time, running its own background maps even before the point where it "takes over" So even running map 0 (stock) doesnt run stock fueling maps.

Set the injector size back to stock in the ECU, and scale them in the UTEC. Be sure to get the latency set up correctly as well.

Thats a no go captain, though you bring up some good points.

In most cases I run on map 0, pass through. At this point the UTEC isn't running its own fueling map, right? This seems verified as changes I make on my ECU fueling maps are reflected by my wideband. Are you sure the UTEC is always running its own fueling map?

So the offset values in the UTEC fueling maps aren't offsets from the ECU fueling requirements, rather a base map already present in the UTEC?

Last night I set the UTEC parameters to 730, BOTH of them. I think one was the scaled value, and the other is the original scaled value, which I assume just wants whatever is set within the ECU. Am I correct? There was a third injector value that I can't quite remember, maybe deadtime, have any idea what I'm talking about? If so I'd appreciate some insight into this value. :)

My ultimate goal, like when I ran the stock injectors, is to switch to map one, hit the meth button and have some fun. I don't have a large tank so I like having the ability to experience the benefit of meth on my terms.
