You can log the standard ssm params with the old cable on the canbus cars. Dunno about the new cable.

Ok I just installed the latest ECu defs as well. I know my ECU defs arent in there, but maybe I need it to make the logger work?

as states in the other post, you can't log with the openport 2.0 until RomRaider adds support for it. Colby of tactrix is also working to allow for standalone logging with the OP 2.0 to a microSD card in the future.

Dave's car flashed ok. He is playing around with AVCS and the ETC stuff. Removed that EGR effect crap too.

Did he actually flash a map with changes or attempt to flash the stock map to the ECU? Because most people are having issue with flashing right now. If he actually flashed a ROM with changes, then I'd be curious as to what Ecuflash version he is using.

We tried his cable and laptop on my STi yesterday as well with the same results. It would appear that the WRX/STi may have a different logic to flashing.

I'm not sure what has changed, maybe the firmware update included with ecuflash 1.38. We'll have to wait till Colby gets back into town.

Yup flashed and happy I need to grab my code scanner so I can see what else I need to shut off for the air pump crap and the purge solenoid and such I deleted. Looking at what I have turned off so far, I HAVE to have like 50 codes I was SHOCKED what changing ONLY the AVCS table did for my FXT. The oem avcs table is really weird, themadscientist made me up a new table, I guess based off the stock STI avcs or something close to it, it transformed the car. Comes into boost way earlier, way easier, drives much smoother too. I guess the stock AVCS table, for stock heads/cams and a TD04, dont work well with a GT35R and P&P heads/cosworth cams Go figure I am going to play with the AVCS a little, see if I can go a LITTLE more aggressive with it. Here is how I figure it. The stock FXT avcs table, were the way it was, for a tiny turbo The stock STI avcs table is for a slightly larger turbo, and I think at least a little more flowy heads/cams. So it would stand to reason that if I take the differences between the 2, and just ramp them up a little more, that I should be able to get a little more out of it, with a turbo that is a good bit larger than the VF39. I know there is a point of diminishing returns, I am not looking to take it crazy. Just a LITTLE more.

It's got to be something with that.

Can you dump the 09 WRX and when the 09 STi comes in dump that one?

I can do those AND we just got some of the 2009 Impreza GTs in (basically an auto 08 WRX)
