These replica Openport 1.3U cables offered by Limitless can be seen here: http://www.limitless.co.nz/cablesQuestion: Anyone know if they will work with latest version of Romraider (for data logging)?

From looking at their website, they also claim it works with the latest EcuFlash.
Can somebody confirm?
Thanks!
I think this info will help a lot of people who are debating whether to buy this cable (including me).

I had heard that at least some of these cables were simply "rebadged" tactrix cables. Really, unless you are so cheap that you can't afford an extra $100 for the vastly improved openport 2.0, it would be better to support a company (tactrix) that is solely responsible for the creation of the Subaru/Mitsu OpenECU scene and determines what is developed for flashing these ECUs in the future.

Cheap?... pls don't start. Are you calling everyone who is buying used tactrix cables cheap? If all I want is the cable, then why can't I buy what I want? If I want a medium sized coffee instead of a full-sized coffee, why can't I buy my medium sized coffee? Trust me, I'd buy the 1.3U cable from taxtrix if they sold it... but they don't and that's ok. Tactrix guys are doing a wonderful job and I wish them only success.

Yea... I guess I can't blame someone who buys one of these if you really don't need the extra features of the 2.0.... since they arn't selling the 1.3 cable anymore on the site. I could do something with that extra $100
Although...... throwing an extra $100 towards tactrix is not wasting money like some things are, I mean in the world of tuning, we have it made with Subaru's!

This thread is about buying the old tactrix cable from a vendor, not buying a used cable from a person. Quote: If all I want is the cable, then why can't I buy what I want? The difference is, without Colby and tactrix, you'd be paying $800 for an AP plus $400 for their streettuner software. Yes, they released it free recently, but do you really think they would have done that if openecu never existed and they were the only user-tune option in the market? Either that, or you would be paying $1000+ for an Ecutek pro-tune. By supporting tactrix you are not only supporting future development but you are saying "thanks for allowing me to tune for super-cheap". Plus, since you said you wanted to log, the upcoming firmware release for the openport 2.0 will allow you to log without a laptop. This is easily worth the extra $100 (plus cost of the sd card). People spent way more than $100 on utter crap mods for their car, so I'm surprised that some are too cheap to purchase the new cable (no offense).

Funny, you think Cobb would have released the street tuner if open source alternatives didn't exist? Chick or the egg. In any case, Colby has done the whole community good!
