Just an observation, I'm not asking for a fix or anything and just thought you might want to know about this.

The way I work is, I disconnect my laptop from my network and power and carry it to the car, flash/log and drive. Come back and hook it back into the network. Normally, I "remote desktop" into the laptop and file share to access the logs and roms. If I leave RR running on the laptop, go inside, hook up and RD into the machine, RR will have hung and I need to kill it.

To me it's not something worth fixing. I suspect Java doesn't like the video mode to change so radically and it gets confused.
