Log knock sum.

There's some kind of partial throttle timing problem. I'll look through your rom later tonight. Don't reset your ecu, but definitely log knock sum. You'll need the latest ecu defs from September 8, 2008.

I had the latest defs before but re-copied them to be sure.

I've re-connected to the ECU but still can't find Knock Sum in the Parameters or Switches lists. Is this something only in the Release Candidate software? I'm running the regular release 0.5.0b version (build #83).

Once I get it figured out, do you need wideband data in the Knock Sum log, or can I do it without?

Knock sum does not exist in the ROM for the USDM 04-06 STi.

Sorry. Nothing is standing out in the timing table.

Reset your ecu and log 100% after you reset your ecu. Then do partial throttle logs in 4th gear from 2000 to 5000 rpm. Do the first log at constant 30% throttle. Then second log at constant 50% throttle. Third log at constant 70% throttle, etc... Continue logging in between runs. Don't stop the logger for any reason.

The throttle settings are just guidelines. Basically do constant throttle logs. Start low and with each successive log, increase throttle.

Log the following parameters.

rpm
load direct (g/rev)
manifold absolute pressure direct (psi)
FBKC
FLKC
IAM
throttle
WBO2

Sorry for the delayed response; unfortunately I have no new data to share. My clutch started slipping recently so I've been babying it while deciding on what to buy and if I should do the wrenching myself or not.

I think it's safe to say the car is making darned good power!

I'll report back when I can start thrashing on it again.
