I have a usdm 02 wrx and downloaded the xpt stage 2 map. after installing all new definitions, ecu flash can read and load my rom, and romraider will log my ecu, but I cannot open the .hex in ecueditor. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks a ton.

XPT maps have a unique cal id that is not the factory identifier. You'll need to go to the XPT site and DL their defs which add their identifiers to the romraider defs.

If you want to use EcuFlash or EcuEdit to view/edit your maps, then first download the free hex editor at http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm. Use it to open your ROM image and change the ASCII string at offset 0x200 back to A4SGE01C.

BTW, don't use that string for any other models/years.
