I've been re-writing Subaru ROMs for a long time now, and this is the first time I've encountered this particular error. Pulled the ROM down from an 06 WRX 5MT, and EcuFlash said "ROM not recognized". It prompted me to save/associate a defintion, etc. This was a bone stock ROM, which we had already used our SOA laptop to update the car to its latest mapping.
Unfortunately I do not know which calibration ID belongs to the ECU, but I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this problem. All the other Subaru ECUs I have connected to were supported and worked just fine. Is this a new ROM from Subaru that we don't have XML data for?

If no one has pulled that specific rom revision and uploaded it here, then it isn't supported. Since there are multiple revisions per year for even the same model and market, there are undoubtedly some that haven't been seen before. That is assuming you weren't using an older version of Ecuflash with old defs.

I was using the most current version of ecuflash with the latest defs.
how can I find out the map revision if nothing will open it? I can upload it here if it will help.
