Since there's a 'gabedude banned at nasioc' by Jon [in CT], I thought it was only appropriate (ironic?) to have a thread about Jon's recent ban. What happened?

I read the thread... and unless I missed something, I really didn't see Jon giving all that much attitude?? Some of unabomber's posts came off sounding very childish and threatening as if he is all-powerful. It seems almost like unabomber was just waiting for something to ban him for?? I apparently am very much out of the loop here.. seems to be some history- maybe there were other reasons?... but that was pretty silly just looking in on that thread.... hmmm....

Its threads and info like this that make me not go on the forums as much anymore. This crap is getting old... and I get really frustrated when good people who really intend to help and spread good info are stomped out by mods who think they know everything and can never be wrong. Reminds me of the FP thread on iwsti...

Quote: I've been tracking gears more than anyone on NASIOC and predicted gear problems with the 06/07 a full year before it came out, so you might want to listen to what I say. Congrats, Unabomber. It takes some balls to look at a car that has had gear problems for four years, has had no meaningful upgrades to said gears, has a bigger motor and guess that it will have gear problems. Quote: Shock load is based on power, application of power (aggressive shifting/launching), and amount of applications of power. There is no set forumula for this as they all are contributing factors. Somebody needs to go back to physics class. "Speed is based on time and distance. There is no set formula as they are both contributing factors."

Unabomber has a serious ego problem and gets upset about everything. He always gets bent out of shape when someone tells him he's wrong about his opinions. No surprises here. NASIOC.

I'll have to use another screen name to sell parts out of that gutter of a forum for a couple weeks, dang! Quote: You have been banned due to infractions.
Date the ban will be lifted: 08-19-2008, 11:02 PM

I get the feeling there's some posts missing from the original thread. Wish it was still there.

aw they deleted a lot of them.. basically unabomber was stating that the trannys are all gonna blow up because of the increased power Jon explained that torque didnt really increase so that wont break the trannys, since trannys usually never fail at peak rpm or peak hp, and its torque that kills trannys unabomber replied with Quote: Originally Posted by Unabomber View Post Shut the hell up, you know zero about gears and it's painfully obvious by your statement.
Then after his reply justifying his statements with facts, he got banned. Then I quoted unabombers awesome remark and wrote: Quote: And Jon is the one that got banned. Heh And I got warned... awesome forum nasioc is..
