Welcome to the club. ;)

Once you start speaking too much of the truth or come across as knowing more than the "Ubertechs" on Nazioc, you get banned. Hell I am perm banned. There is so much BS and misinformation there. IWSTI actually has a few smart guys that give correct info. Nasioc mods are basically a bunch of people who banded together and most of them work at a large Subaru dealership or have connections. That site has just gone to s***.

Unabomber is full of himself, even more than I am. ;)

aw they deleted a lot of them..

basically unabomber was stating that the trannys are all gonna blow up because of the increased power

Jon explained that torque didnt really increase so that wont break the trannys, since trannys usually never fail at peak rpm or peak hp, and its torque that kills trannys

unabomber replied with

Then after his reply justifying his statements with facts, he got banned.

Then I quoted unabombers awesome remark and wrote:

And Jon is the one that got banned. Heh

And I got warned... awesome forum nasioc is..

Typical. Everyone knows that gears can only hold so much TQ. Why are clutches (I know, its not a gear, but the same force principal applies) TQ rated and not HP rated?

HP=Work
TQ=Force

It surprises me that Unabomber is arguing about that. :roll:

cmon even my shallow knowledge knows

Power = Torque x (RPM/5252)

so Pwr goes up Torque goes up just as much (at same RPM)

I guess nasioc doesnt like people that have good information and care about sharing it with other people... got it..

Its sad how people get all mad when you disagree with them as if their opinions are facts. Don't people realize that with 6billion+ people living on the same planet, not everyone is going to agree with you?

So, is Jon permanently banned or temporarily? How can you tell?

EDIT: looks like he's now "visiting Nasioc timeout".

Mainly in the tech forum, if you disagree with Unabomber, he gets all bent and will ban you, put you in time out, etc. It doesn't matter if you are correct or not. Hell, I'll admit when I am wrong (I often am); its how we learn...

Mike, your mustang on Facebook needs more racing. ;)

I saw the ban the other day and read the whole thread to see where Jon went wrong. My conclusion is that Jon pissed off Unabomber a long time ago.

I got that impression as well. Did you see the thread when it included Unabomber's "I was hired very specifically to be mean" post?

The guy has a short fuse, can't handle being told he's wrong, and feel perfectly justified about abusing his moderator privileges.

It's good to see that the other mods can keep him in check though.

You cannot even contact Nick anymore. Back in 2001, I had a problem with subiegal "Jamie" who works at Subaru genuine parts as the Internet Parts manager. The thing was about posting a street racing thread. The post was hypothetical, no street racing involved. We got into it in PM (the site was small then) and Nick got pulled into it. He lifted the 15 some odd points that were completely uncalled for and told Jamie to not speak to me again. This was after I wrote the wrtiteup on how to make your own hybrid MBC from Lowes parts (aka, TurboXS HPMBC, etc). When I got perm banned, it was for BS in the Texas forum (and I had 0 points until then and they all came from the mods there). A guy (Shawn, aka lakofhp on Nasioc who actually stayed at our house one night) registered as a user on IWSTI, said he was from Oklahoma, had a different car than he actually has. He posted a hypothetical that if I were to go up to Dallas, would I say the same things I did on the net, and if it came down to it, would I back my s*** up. My response was that I have never backed down and if someone wants to go, lets go. Then I was perm banned from Nasioc for posting that on IWSTI. They were just looking for a reason. Too many mods are in bed with Subaru or work at Subaru is the problem with Nasioc now. You all started arguing about the gears on the 09 model and got put in timeout, banned, points, etc. Nasioc used to have good constructive arguments. Not so anymore.

I have friends who are lower level mods (not in TXIC) and they tell me to go to starbucks and register a new username to show interest that I want unbanned. That has worked for many, but I am not about to do that as I feel I was banned for no reason. The people (who are in bed with the mods) in TXIC can dish it out, but they cannot take it. However, I never had a problem with Unabomber. Go figure.

I've also had my share of problems with subiegal a few years ago. That woman is as dumb as a bag of hammers, and I'm just not being spiteful, she just wouldn't know logic it bit her in the face.

I saw Unabombers post, and he started PM'ing me before the ban about how he knows he has an ego problem...

Yeah, I did see it in it's glory :roll:

I usually just post in NESIC these days... and here.
