Took the car back to the slip-n-slide event, errrrr' the local 1/8th mile track. Took both the H22 Swapped EJ Civic (94 Coupe) and the WRX.
First run was the Rex against a nice little silver SRT 4 with a Show Off Valve. Needless to say the only thing he was showing is how slow the SRT was. That was my one and only good run of the night. 1.79 60'. 8.61 1/8th ET at 84mph.
Very disappointed, however, track temps were 102*F with 85% humidity, not really ideal weather for the poor Rex. Found out the 5k LC was a bit low for the new ACT streetlight Flywheel, and the poor OE clutch gave up after the first run, it holds fine driving around but when I launch its slip city.
So anyway the SRT 4 ran a 9.45 ET at 70mph.. pretty damn sad if you ask me.
The NA H22 in the Civic hated the hot weather worse. Plain and simple I need Slicks... END OF STORY.
Ran with 16" Buddy Club Wheels and 215 Junk Falkens with 18lbs in em. Traction came around at the end of second gear. 60' times were 2.3 seconds.
BUT 9.201 ET at 85mph.... It has alot of potential to be real fast in the 1/4 with radials or straight up slicks.
Anyway how does a 8.61 ET at 84mph on the stock Turbo and stock Intercooler sound? Spot on or a little slow? Poor 5 speed hates me....
