I just started using romraider so bear with me. :D

I have been able to simply turn the boost down when going on long trips to save gas. I get about 400/tank in my 05 WRX when doing that. is there another way to improve on this?

Also I just got a new downpipe that I will install hopefully this week. I'm hoping that will help.

For local driving I still use the stock configuration. I will soon be trying to make more power.

I'm not aware of anything in the tune that can't be accomplished just as effectively with (less of) the gas pedal. :)

If you run 0% WGDC in the low throttle range, it will help stay off boost especially if you are cruising around in 5th gear and add a little extra throttle. Of course, this only works if the WG spring pressure is relatively low.

Even if the manifold pressure is 2 psi at 20% throttle, the pressure at the compressor wheel might be enough to open the wastegate.

Anyway, I've noticed about 0.5 mpg better freeway MPG. For 32 bit ecu boost control, it doesn't affect WOT performance since we have a WGDC initial table. So... I went ahead and zeroed it out below 30% throttle.

Thanks I will try setting WGDC to 0% below 30% throttle on my trip to DC this weekend. Will post the results next week.

Change the target closed loop AFR to be 16:1 and add a couple degrees spark advance for loads less than 1.0 g/rev.

I noticed some improvement after working with my timing in the low load areas.... making the most of what little fire you have uner light throttle did show some improvments... I also have my car setup to make a couple PSI below 3600 rpms so I can tackle a hill while staying in closed loop.....
