RomRaider logger stopped working for me

I'm using RR 5.0b, on Windows Vista Basic, with a Tactrix cable.
If I click the ECU logger menu item, nothing happens.
I set up an icon that runs "romraider.exe -logger" but I only get the splash screen.

This was working on the same laptop just a few days ago. The only relevant change I can think of is that I installed a USB Bluetooth adapter, which created a couple of new COM ports. I tried changing the serial port in the config file, it was "" and now its "COM4" but this made no difference.

I'm able to flash using ECUFlash and display gauges using TreeHugger, both on COM4, with no problem.

Any ideas? Is there anything I can do to help diagnose the problem?

you might want to try reinstalling the tactrix drivers.

I reinstalled the Tactrix drivers today, it made no difference.

I would uninstall RomRaider, reboot, install latest Java, reboot, reinstall RomRaider.

A true tech support veteran would advise no less than three reboots.

I'll give it a shot anyway.

I've removed RR and Java, rebooted, installed Java, installed RR, and the behavior is the same - I can't bring up the RR logger at all.

EcuFlash and Lumberjack/Treehugger both work fine though.

Is there a way to turn on tracing or something like that in RR to help find where the problem is?
