UNLUCKILY FOR YOU, ONE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS HAS CONTACTED ME BECAUSE HE WANTED TO KNOW IF MY FFS+LC PATCH WOULD WORK ON THE XPT ROM HE PURCHASED FROM YOU.

SURPRISE SURPRISE WHEN HE EMAILED ME HIS XPT ROM, SO I CHECK IT IF THE PATCH WOULD WORK OR NOT...
LAUNCH CONTROL ALREADY ON IT! YEAH f***, ALREADY PATCHED, EVEN THE PARAMETERS SET ON IT, 3 MPH, 2200 RPM DELTA. OF COURSE HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT BEING THERE AS THE XML YOU GAVE HIM HAS NOT THE LC PARAMS.

I ALREADY WAS SUSPICIOUS THAT YOU DID THIS WHEN I READ A THREAD ON YOUR FORUMS WHERE SOMEONE WAS ASKING WHY YOU ARE NOT OFFERING 32BIT LAUNCH CONTROL. SOMEONE REPLIED "HAHA I KNOW A LITTLE SECRET"

I don't give a sh1t if he made any profit or not. Using MY CODE, MY COUNTLESS HOURS OF WORK and passing it around without any permission is pissing me off.

FYI i have people asking from me to port the SD code that Freon wrote and offering me money. You know what my answer is? "I don't make money on others people work". If i get time to do it it will be out in the open and free of charge as it's author wants it to be.

Wow, thanks for the kind words Tiny. I'm very suprised at your words here as well as on my forum, romraider, and I'm sure many other forums that you've been posting on. I apologize in advance for any misunderstanding that may have come across. I wish you had spoken with me personally before blasting forums with misinformation. Since this thread will probably be locked shortly I will make this brief.

1. I support your patches in my XML Definitions for the RomRaider application, I always have. If someone purchases my map, then proceeds to patch it with your LC file, I support that in my definitions.

2. I do not sell your patches with my products, nor do I advertise this capability in my roms. Patched roms with my mapping are circling the internet, theres nothing you or I can do to avoid that from happening. That's just how the business is.

3. I have purchased your product when it was needed for a customer. I generally do not offer this to my customers since your purchase price is nearly 70% of the cost of my product.

4. I've come across many implementations of your patching programs and patch files, see point #2.

5. I also inform my customers that my ROM distribution is prohibited. This means every rom you have received made by XPT is "stolen" in your words. Once again, point #2. There will always be someone who isn't XML savvy or instruction proficient who will need help applying something to an already half protected file.

The particular person you referred to was a long time customer, I sent him a patched file because of his need for testing Launch Control. I apologize for doing so, and hope that you have made a customer from his need to add more features to my mapping.

I hope that we both take something from this incident and continue to provide products that people enjoy using with their vehicles. hmmm why doesn't XPT just pay a fee and include them for their customers?

It isn't like the patch costs that much andI'm sure the XPT customers wouldn't mind an extra few $$ added on for the LC and FFS options.

A bit disappointing actually - if something like this is going on with XPT roms, I wonder whatelse he as included/copied/stolen and given to his customers for "testing"?

All I can say is that I am now a customer of TinyWrex's .. the Launch Control and FFS is superb
