One of the locals has the Zeitronix kit with EGT and wideband and a dual display. It's a nice setup, decent price for what you get as well. I think it lets you add a few more channels of info as well. Ecuedit supports it for logging both WB02 and EGT.

About how long did your sensors last? What happens when the sensor goes bad (no data or bad data or...)? I've got mine about 4-5" from the turbo. I know I am cooking it slowly but would like to know the timeframe and symptoms of demise.[/quote]
Mine is located about 10 inches from the turbo. It started reading 20s @ WOT after 4000 rpm; after 7 or 8 months. Eventually it will stop reading even at idle; showing readings of 50 or something like that on the display.

My first sensor lasted a few years and probably 35,000 miles. It was installed way back on my last car and at the bottom of my downpipe in the STI. It eventually went after installing in and out of more Subarus, some of which were very close to the downpipe. First sign was similar to the above, it started to read 20:1 or so at WOT sporatically. I ordered a new one and installed the old one back in my own car (way down at the end of the downpipe). It seemed to be ok again but I replaced it anyway.
I don't think there is any reason it wouldn't last 60k+ in the right conditions with a proper controller and proper heatsinking.

I sold my LC-1 to a friend of mine who received it DOA. It was fine before it left, weird.
If you guys want to buy a replacement sender here are cheaper alternatives. It's a OEM VW wideband made by Bosch. You won't have to splice anything.

My LC-1 just died _again_ reading 6-9 AFR or 20.33 AFR. What a POS.

I've had mine in my car for about 7 months now. It seems to be working just fine, but will give some funky readings (all over the place) for about 5-15 seconds after the it finishes the warmup sequence.
However, after those ~15 seconds of weird readings, it appears to work fine. I'm crossing my fingers. The sensor is in the back of the DP, about 15" from the turbo.

For those popping sensors, where is your sensor installed exactly?

My LC1 died a while ago, sensor was fine, but the box took a big dump. The RMA took longer than it should have, but at least I have a working LC1 now...

I have had to return my LC-1 twice, they sent me a new one each time. I have not had any problems for almost a year now with the last one they sent. I am sorry you are experiencing so many problems... Innovate treated me really well when I had problems and sent me the replacements fast.
Edit: Also my sensor died one time... it got overheated so I got one of those o2 heat extender things from Innovate so it works good now

Update:
I got a tracking notice that they shipped the LC-1 back to me - scheduled delivery is tomorrow. We'll see how this one holds up. I will be doing another portable type of setup, either with battery clamps or a cigarette plug. Any advice on how to wire it up and / or use it so that I don't break the replacement would be greatly appreciated.
I have received zero correspondence prior to the shipment notice, it would be nice to know what exactly was wrong etc.

For my portable, I have all the grounds going to one wire on a cig adapter I bought at radio shack. I have all the power wires going to the same adapter. Works fine.

Well the LC-1 was delivered today. It looks as though they just sent me a new controller. They also neglected to return my terminator plug!
