map direct to mrp direct shouldn't make a difference as they are the same address.

That is strange. Try logging RPM only and see what happens.

It seems to happen when the boost goes above 22.5 or so. It seems to cut out 400 ms before to a number of ms after that event.

I will need to experiment more to see if that is really the case.

Try this:

DL the freeware version of HHD Serial Port Monitor:

1. Plug tactrix cable in
2. Start HHD monitor
3. Select file -> new session -> serial port monitor
4. under serial device name select the com port for the tactrix cable
5. under visualizers, select request view
6. open romraider logger ONLY when you are just about to log the run (do not log too many parameters - keep it limited, but include those that would be likely to change nearly every line through the run like RPM, etc.)
7. immediately close romraider completely right after the run
8. leave HHD open and copy and paste data to a text file and save.
9. PM me (or post up) the log of the run and the data file.

This will give a lot of information if you can catch the problem.

Of course I recorded it today, and it didn't do it.

go ahead and log the exact same parameters you did before (when the problem occured) for this test

I imagine it will come up again.
