Hey dude, you are the man! i tryed again but this time i hit the ok as soon as i turned the ignition on just as you said. Result! It read the map successfully :P But hey i'm not out of the woods yet, i tryed to open the saved rom file in the editor and i am met with "ECU definition not found".

I know you are probably sick of me by now but what do you think will solve this?

Thanks

Post the rom file please.

You can open the rom file in a text editor and you can usually see the ecu code somewhere in the first 15 lines or so ... something like A4R300G. See if it matches up with the codes posted here http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Knowledge/ECUVersionCompatibilityList

download the latest version of romraider 0.5.0b and try opening it. If you still get ecu definition not found, then upload the rom here.

whoops - I forgot that was a commercial (prodrive) rom. We don't allow those to be posted on the site (i removed it from your post). Regardless, I got it so I can look at adding it to the next update which will probably be in July.
