topic3029.htmlThe latest 100% unsupported, beta, not-safe-for-animals releases are available in first post of that thread. Please don't use this if you aren't familiar with computers and RomRaider. Kascade has been dilligently working on the logger side of things, adding some great new features and cleaning up some bugs. It's shaping up very nicely. If I recall, he was looking for someone to test some rewrites of the Uego code. You sound like a good candidate Download the test version, unzip to a handy location, open "logger.bat", select the correct COM ports for your Tactrix and Uego (from Plugins dropdown), start the car up, make sure the Uego is all setup and ready to log, then try to select some ECU parameters and the Uego. If all goes well, you'll be connected and ready to go, if not, close the logger and zip up the "romraider.log" and "romraider_stdout.log" files for Kascade to take a look at and see if he can fix. Good luck! Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Thanks, got the logger but a little question. I read in the manual for the uego that to datalog you need to buy a rs-232 connector plug. Doing this and then connecting appropriate wires seems like it would just log the uego thro the windows program. Would i plug both the uego and the tactrix into my computer? How would I get it to log in the logger as well?
Guessing just plug both in start the logger and select the com port for the uego in the plugins?

Yes, you'll need to have both your Uego and Tactrix connected at the same time. The logger will connect to both simultaneously and log them in sync.

You can download the manual from AEM.
From memory I think the blue wire goes to Rx on a RS-232 connector and also you connect ground.
I think those are the only 2 wires.
Never heard anything about USB usage but i have one of the early units so maybe it's something they added.
Edit: Well my memory was pretty good. Pin 2 (Rx) - Blue Wire Pin 5 (GND) - Ground As far as I know, to use USB you'll need to use a USB/serial converter.
I'm gonna try to test this out as well. I tried writing a plug-in for streettuner some time ago and i think i'm the only person it worked for and it was still spotty.

I apologize ahead of time if these are rediculous questions. Isn't the UEGO blue wire feeding a 0-5v analog signal? If this is the case, would I be able to build the same thing with the DM-5 PLX WBo2 kit? since it also has an output for a 0-5v analog signal? Here is what I have right now: http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm5/afrsmcombo/The reason why I ask is I'm trying to avoid spendng the money to buy a new device. Second question, is how the LC-1 links to the PC for loging, through a RS-232 connector also? Like the UEGO setup here? http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ?t=1406618I never truly understand how the other Wideband o2 devices connect to the PC, could someone post some pictures of the LC-1 connection to the PC? Why is romraider able to link with other WBo2 kits and not the PLX? I't would be much apreciated if someone could answer these question, I'm really trying to learn and searching around multiple forums isn't giving me any definate answers. Thanks, hayden
