Ive got the newest version of enginuity from http://www.assembla.com/spaces/files/bp ... 3babIlDkbG (rev 785) and the newest definition files from forum8.html I unzipped the ecu and logger def files to the enginuity folder and double checked that the definitions are set correctly via the "ECU definitions" menu within enginuity. For some reason, the definitions within the def files are not updating the selectable items in my logger. the settings file is being set up correctly,

<ecudefinitionfile name="C:\Documents and Settings\Pimpfoot\Desktop\Enginuity LC-1\logger.xml" />
<ecudefinitionfile name="C:\Documents and Settings\Pimpfoot\Desktop\Enginuity LC-1\ecu_defs.xml" />

and the parameters i wish to log are in the newest def files ive downloaded.

- <ecuparam id="E1" name="IAM (Ignition Advance Multiplier)*" desc="">
- <ecu id="1B04400405">
<address>0x20118</address>
</ecu>

But after i get done setting it all up, the parameters dont show up in my selectable items.

Im running xp pro with service pack 2 and .net 3.0 on my laptop. So am i doing something wrong? is it something in enginuity or something in the laptop? Any help would be greatly apreciated. My tuner wants paramters that arnt on the old definitions.

logger definitions are NOT added with the ECU definition manager. Also, since you are using a test release, you update the definitions in the test releases' folder (it is a standalone app that has nothing to do with your main Enginuity install), NOT the main Enginuity folder.

Also, you have to be connected to the ECU in order for the extended parameters to be shown (and also relevant standard parameters) and NO extended parameters. If not, you may get a list of all standard parameters which is what you screenshot looks like.

I unzipped the test release of enginuity to my program files folder under the folder "enginuity LC-1". I replaced the logger.xml and the ecu_def.xml files with the ones i downloaded from the forum.

That would explain why i cant get FBKL or FLKC (i think those are the right terms) to show up in my logger... so where do the logger defs go exactly?

You unzip the logger defs and replace the existing logger.xml file with the new one. So, it is either in the main Enginuity directory (0.4.1b) or if you are using a test release, whereever you put the test release folder.

I can not get feedback knock or knock correction to show up as parameters in my logger. What am I doing wrong? I have the newest defs and loggers, where are the file supposed to be? I have the newest version of enginuity and I very frustrated.

I would suggest reading the RomRaider FAQ. The logger definition file (logger.xml) should be placed in the main Enginuity directory (or test release folder if you are using a RomRaider test release) replacing the existing logger.xml file. The same with the ECU definition file (ecu_defs.xml).

If you installed it properly and they still don't show up, then your ECU may not be supported. To tell for sure, post up the ECU id shown in the lower right hand corner of the logger when connected to your ECU.
