hi appreciate if someone can help me identify what ECU i have in my MY07 FXT......I live in Singapore and most of my friends' rides are EDM.....hopefully from there I can find a usable definition.....

i tried using a openport 1.3 cable and romraider & ecuexplorer into the obd port and with the latter can read data like manifold pressure, a/f etc........but there's no description in the space where the type of ecu is shown eg. edm 2005 fxt ...... ie. blank....??

i opened up the ecu and found the following:

on the ecu case.......AV22611AM240 (DENSO)
on chip........64F7058F80 BX0419 BD12471

i collected the car new in Mar 07 but it was manufactured in 2006 so I'm hoping i have an ECU that can be flashed ie. not have to wait for a new type CAN cable etc.

Thanks in advance to any help!

*i've attached a picture of the sticker on the ECU 'box' here.......http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic.php?t=3273

Well, download Ecuflash and see if you can read it (make sure you go into test mode first - see FAQ).

If it is a MY07 FXT, it is probably CANBUS.

i've done that and it does read the various parameters like a/f etc but the ecu identity tag is blank and when we try to pull the ROM it cycles thru' some messages and an error message pops out.

ok, i don't have the tactrix cable with me........i'll try to borrow one and do the procedures again, this time saving the error messages and come back to seek advice.......

thanks for your quick reply.

Well, you sir are in luck.

Sounds like it won't be much longer. I'm going to buy a new cable just for the ability to log to microsd.
