"Rev Limit Ignition Retard"

I know this exists in the old 16-bit ROMs but am not sure if it's readily available in the 32-bit yet.
I've been testing the Launch Control for the 2006 WRX and it seems to pull -1.5 KC when engaging LC regardless of what timing I decide to run. I believe this is the normal activity when the ECU reaches a rev limit and cuts fuel.

Thoughts?

timing correction related to the rev limiter wouldn't appear as FBKC. Any FBKC is due to perceived knock - nothing else.

I have not come across any correction related to the rev limiter for the 32-bit ECU and not all ROMs for the 16-bit ECU have this either.

Thanks Bill, I'll continue to eliminate timing in the affected area to see if anything helps.

Yeah I don't think there is any timing retard when you hit the rev limiter, either.

IIRC, Wolfplayer was saying that it is false knock when he tested my LC with FFS a while back. Especially bad with FFS, not as much with LC.

If it was false knock, why would timing retard help?

It wouldn't.
