 Post subject: P1410 DTC Incorrectly Labeled?

A friend of mine has an ADM 06 Forester XT with full STI drivetrain (engine, gearbox, etc) but still the original XT ECU (A8DH100M). Because the XT had all that secondary air pump emissions gear and the sti motor doesn't we disabled all the associated DTC's and thought everything was good. Unfortunately though he kept getting a recurring CEL that came back after every reset.

I finally had the chance to read it out with my trusty ScangaugeII yesterday and it turned out to be a P1410. After loading the rom in romraider I found that P1410 was labeled as being a "Fuel tank pressure system malfunction". I didn't want to disable it if it was a real error so I did some more searching and came across this thread http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57880 where Jon [in CT] notes it as being "Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve Stuck Open".

To cut a long story short - which is correct?

The problem with the codes is that sometimes the manufacturer changes the description of a general obdii code. For the defs, I started out with a generic list of obdii codes (online) and then used Subaru specific list (online) to change (or some cases add) the Subaru specific description (or code). I also referenced a few of the factory manuals that I could find (04 STi, my 02 WRX, an LGT I think). I must have missed this code, as one of the factory manuals I have shows P1410 to be:
DTC P1410 SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM SWITCHING VALVE STUCK OPEN

But the obdii search site I was using doesn't list a Subaru specific code:
P1410 Audi EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve Short to B+
P1410 Ford Air Cleaner Inlet Control Circuit
P1410 Geo Fuel Tank Pressure System Fault
P1410 GM Fuel Tank Pressure System
P1410 Jaguar Air Cleaner Inlet Control Circuit
P1410 Kia EVAP Purge Control Solenoid Circuit High Input
P1410 Lexus EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P1410 Mazda EGR Boost Solenoid Valve Stuck
P1410 Toyota EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P1410 Saab EVAP Canister Purge Valve, Control Module Output Short To B+
P1410 Suzuki Fuel Tank Pressure Control System Malfunction
P1410 Volkswagen Tank Ventilation Valve Circuit Short To B+

For the next def update, I'll take a closer look at the codes to see if I missed something else that is Subaru specific.
