Hi,
I have never logged with enginuity. Therefore I have some questions;(I have just bought a 2006 euro spec STI 2.5)

1- I have ordered an openport 1.2 dbw usb cable(tactrix). Do I use it for logging?

2- In logger section I have seen comport selection. should I use serial cable?(if I can't use tactrix cable) and which port should be selected?

3- Where should we put the logger definitions? There is no ecu definition manager in logger section. Should we change it to logger definition in ecu definition manager while logging?

4- I will use ecuflash for flashing my ecu. is the openport 1.2 dbw usb cable is enough for flashing? Should I need to install any driver when I plug my cable except the ones installed by ecuflash?

5- What should I notice not to harm my ecu while flashing? things that must not be done or must be done :D

Before I have used ecutek and delta dash with my 2005 sti, now I will use enginuity for mapping and logging with my 2006 sti. I think I will have more questions in the future. :D Thanks.

most of these questions are answered in the RomRaider FAQ. Tactrix cable will work for reading/flashing/logging. You only need to install Ecuflash for the tactrix drivers. The comport selection should be set to the port assigned to the tactrix cable (you can try each one with the tactrix plugged in and connected to the car to figure out which is correct or for windows go to device manager - ports). The new logger definitions are NOT installed with the ECU definition manager. Instead, you simply replace the existing logger.xml file in the main Enginuity directory with the new logger.xml file. There's a list in the FAQ of what should be done for safe flashing.
