I've reflashed dozens of times. About a year ago, I had Cobb APv1, then transitioned to RomRaider.
This weekend, I "tried out" AP + StreetTUNER; didn't really care for it. So I unmarried the AP, and have verified that it is, indeed, unmarried.

When trying to go back to my RR map, I get major issues.. Here's a snippet from the flash. I'll post the beginning and end. All block writes end in ' len 00001000 crc32 [hex number]'

Please let me know what you think, as I'm dead in the water, so to speak..

Thanks,

that log is normal - no errors. I would try a hard reset (disconnect battery, hit brakes for 5 seconds) and then try again.

EDIT: is this the exact map you had running before or did you make a change to it before flashing it back?

it may be a little different.
either way, I can try a hard reset.
Also, before I swapped to the AP+ST, I did do a ecu dump to ECUFlash, prior to marrying the AP. After I do the hard reset, I'll try flashing with that dump rom.

Thanks, merch, as usual..
I'll go try that now.

p/s/ I never have seen the 'crc32' entry, before, in all the past flashes.

It makes no difference that you had an AP married to the ECU before. In fact, it wouldn't even matter even if you hadn't unmarried the AP (although you would be screwed as far as selling the AP unless you made a copy of the ROM). Your issue has to do with something else.

I would go back to an older ROM that you have NOT changed and that worked before. If you made any changes to your OS ROM based on stuff you've seen in ST, this could cause problems as the conversion/units can be different and not compatible (for example, the way they represent injector scaling).

I just tried flashing a ROM from last week, still same issue. well, same situation.. The flash log looks the same, and the car won't start.
I started the car earlier, drove it from the street, to the garage, and parked it. unmarried the AP, flashed a revised version of my map back, and then the car wouldn't start.

So I tried again, nothing.

I just did the hard reset, so I'm going to reflash a rom that worked in the past, to see what's up.

I'll post back results.

same result. Says it flashed, verified ok, but still no start. I just don't get it.. wtf am I missing?

should i remarry the AP, and see if it starts on that map? I'd hate to, but if I have to, I have to. :?

I'll wait for your reply before proceeding any further.

I would DL a factory stock map, change the injector flow and latency to your tune and nothing else, then flash it, just to see if you can get it to start.

Does it crank at all? If it is not even turning over, then you have an issue unrelated to the ECU.

It cranks, and I can start to smell fuel when I crank it.

I've got a stock map, so I'll make the necessary changes to the injector settings. should I change the MAF, settings, too? I've got a 3" inlet..

Yeah, you can change the maf scaling on the low end -> you just want to see if it will start, not drive it.

Really, the problem you are describing makes no sense. There's no error in your Ecuflash logs. You are turning the ignition off, then on after flashing, right?

that is correct, I turn the key off, unplug the connectors (as usual), then try to start the car. Cranks, no start.
I'm making the changes to the stock ROM, and will reflash with that, and see what happens. I'll post back, shortly.

Thanks again, for your time in helping me with this.

Ok, tried, failed.

Same situation. crank, no start. I can hear the fuel pump prime up when I turn the key to RUN.

I have no other ideas. Tomorrow, I'll try pulling the plugs and checking to see if they are fuel-fouled, in the morning. In the meantime, if you've got any other ideas, please let me know..

hmm, strange. Maybe something screwed up in the unmarrying process of the AP. Then again, either you wouldn't be able to flash at all or if you could, then the flash would solve the problem, not that it would flash successfully and not start. Doesn't make sense from an ECU perspective. Did you change anything else or do anything else other than unmarry the AP before you flashed and then no start (like mechanical changes, anything?)

Nothing else changed. Nada, zilch..
I even unplugged the fuel pump and cranked it, to hopefully clear out any excess fuel, to no avail..

the ONLY thing I've managed to get, was in the process of cranking it for, say, 30sec., one little bump of ignition:
RrrRrrRrrRrrRrrRrrRrrRrrRrrRrrRrr-BLP-RrrRrrRrrRrr...
you get the idea..

don't know what to tell you - doesn't make any sense. Battery, maybe?

i thought the same thing. so i put a charger on it, and tested it. even the ecuflash showed voltage to be 11.98, when i happened to think about that..
yeah, Im at a total loss, myself.
