There is a lot of discussion about how PDX's off-the-shelf maps are better than Cobb's maps. Wondering if anyone has a ROM for a PDX OTS map so we can compare the two different tuners? People on Nasioc are saying the PDX maps are much smoother, powerful and PDX says their tuning philosophy is much different than Cobb. It would be interesting to see how they approach tuning.

From what I've seen, the primary difference is the A/F ratios they run at the onset of boost.
Cobb seems to run much leaner, say 12-12.5:1 when full boost hits while gradually fattening up to 10.5-11:1 or richer at redline.
PDX seems to maintain more a less a constant 11:1 or slightly richer as soon as full boost hits.
With the richer A/F ratios PDX will also usually run a bit more boost than Cobb.
This type of tune seems to be a lot more reliable when the fuel in question is particularly knock prone, like in CA where you will get knock as soon as full boost hits.

So, they run more boost at WOT or throughout the table?

From what I've seen on PDX maps is that they run about 2 more PSI than the c0bb maps.

Wow. So, they run like near 18 psi peak boost?

Guess it makes sense, especially when you look at the compressor map that was recently found for the TD04-13T. Just not sure of the long-term reliability at those levels.
