 Post subject: Descriptions of logic changes for each ECU

Found this on the web. It is a pdf that shows the various ECU revisions for Subaru models (scroll down to find the WRX). For example, it shows that for A4SGD10C that some logic changes were made for pinging at a high rpm(6000). You also see the famous ECU revision for the STi and their pinging.

This was posted a while ago on openecu.org. It was sepeculated that the "logic Changes" were in the maps but when comparing the maps are the same. This has brought me to the conclusion that there was infact changes to logic. Problem is, my geuss would be that they are pulling timming in the logic which shouldn't be good for performance? No one has been able to answer me on this yet?
