The latest version of Ecuexplorer that I know of is v3.0.25. Ecuquery should be there (see SS below - it is greyed out because I was not connected to the ECU). Also, if you are going to send me a ram dump you need to: 1. Make sure the misfire codes (P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304) are ENABLED in RomRaider and flash to car. That is, you not running with them disabled when you send me the ram dump. 2. At the same time as the ram dump, read the current codes with a true obdii scanner (NOT ecuexplorer, NOT ecuedit, NOT accessport, NOT deltadash) and send me a list of the current codes (i.e. a true obdii scanner like a handheld scanner). 3. Send me a copy of the current rom that you had flashed at the time you did the ram dump. PM sent!I forgot to include the codes: P0301,P0303,P0304 and P0037(rear o2 sensor is disconected)

I am using both my PSI3 and a handheld OBD II scanner.Codes are current.I also did just notice my ROM has enabled "Force Pass Readiness".Does this present a problem for diagnosis?

no, the force pass readiness doesn't matter. Don't use the psi3 for reading codes. With the ram dump you sent me, did you check the codes at the exact same time with the handheld scanner?

Yup.Both the PSI3 and the scanner showed the same codes.I flashed the basemap you sent me and now I have a CEL after about 100 miles but no DTC per the hand held scanner.

Take a ram dump with "fixed" base map.

Well, I honed my tip-in fueling map a bit, and that seemed to help a little. With the p030x codes disabled and the threshold set @ 255, it takes about a week of driving after a reset(maybe 100 miles or so) and the CEL pops back up... Even with the codes disabled, they still show up on EcuExplorer though. I read the map back off of the ECU and loaded it in Enginuity to double check that everything was saved properly, and it was.
My smog check is due in the next week, so I have pretty much everything emissions-related back to stock for now. With the forced readiness stuff enabled, I'll probably perform a reset, drive it for a day or so to let the ECU get all of the learning parameters up to par and then take it in for a smog test (crossing my fingers).
If it looks like you guys have a permanent misfire-CEL fix already, is there any way I could get the fix applied? Or perhaps somebody could let me know how to modify the deifnition file to apply the fix if such a thing is possible? I'm like 99% that my mis-fire CEL is due to the lightweight flywheel on the touchy '02 ECU.
I'm running the stock air-box, a gutted stock up-pipe, factory catted down & mid pipes, all factory emissions/PCV lines and factory intake are on there. The stock intercooler is back on for now, and the smog tech would have to be pretty damn crafty to be able to diferentiate the vf-39 from the stocker without having them side by side + the injectors are higher flow densos that are damn near the same color as stock. I've got my fuel correction dialed in fairly well (seems to stay under roughly +/- 3.5%), running mostly stock timing and fuel maps - trying to stay as close to stock as possible for the emissions test. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. I've been trying to keep my setup fairly stealth in appearance with the California Smog Nazis around.

Is there a fix for this yet? I'm getting the phantom misfire codes. I'm also getting a phantom p0230 code, for fuel pump circuit malfunction ( I have twin walbros hardwired to the ignition)

the fix will be in the next ecu defs which will probably be released sometime in August. As far as P0230, I remember your post from Nasioc, there shouldn't be any issue in disabling that code. I would make sure you are using a true obdii scanner (can't remember what you were using to look up the codes) and also pull the rom with Ecuflash to make sure that the disabling of the CEL was made.

I had it scanned at the dealership. Instead of posting p0230 on the dealer's scanner, it posted as px2xx, and it still said fuel pump circuit malfunction. The misfires are showing up as px3xx codes.
