I've got a couple of older OBD2 Subies, a 96 Legacy GT (2.5 DOHC) and 96 Impreza L (2.2 single port SOHC). Both are high-mileage beaters used for A-to-B transportation, but I still need to keep em running. So far I've been unable to get my Tactrix cable and ECUExplorer to run CEL codes in either car, and all the software I've tried (RomRaider logger, PCMScan, etc) have trouble when I just use them to test the connection.

Anybody found any software out there that'll work with the tactrix cable to at the very least pull codes from these old girls? A basic CEL code checker would fit the bill, datalogging would be handy frills, but not really necessary.

That's for non-OBD-II Subarus and it doesn't read trouble codes.
