Are the explanations of these posted online somewhere (like what you guys have for the expanded parameters on the logger def download thread?)
Trying to learn about what these logs are telling me. Thanks!

Most of the standard SSM parameters are self-explanatory. Are there particular parameters you had a question about?

Hmm, ya i guess most of them are pretty self explanitory.
For the AF Correction parameters, i see its in % and the values are both positive and negative. So is that adding and taking away some % of fuel output...?
Feel free to dumb down the answers, lol, i just started looking at engine tuning. I've been running one of Gabe's maps for my 07 sti and logging to try to get a feel for what i'm looking at.

AF Correction #1 is the short-term (closed loop) correction to fueling based on feedback from the front O2 sensor. So, if it is positive, then the front o2 is reading lean and the ecu is adding fuel to hit target (usually 14.7:1 AFR). If it is negative, then it is the opposite.

ok, so its sort of analogous to FBKC in that it is response to what it currently happening. So would the AF Learning be analogous in the same way to FLKC in that it adds/removes fuel in certain areas automatically after 'learning' to do it there?

AF Learning is long-term correction based on patterns from AF correction. AF learning is applied in both closed loop and open loop. It is determined and applied across specific air flow ranges (you can open your rom in RomRaider and view/edit these range with the latest ecu defs).

ok, so what is open and closed loop. I tried to read the write up here but it was over my head quite a bit. lLt me know if there is some lexicon of this info floating around. I dont want to take up your hard earned saturday, lol, but so far most everything i've been able to find has been over my head.
As far as editing things go, i'm a little too scurred atm to change things. I need to find that book that referenced here all time...Jeff Hartings? Hastings? Something like that. I see a trip to boarders in my near future.

For fueling, when the ecu is in closed loop, it is looking at the O2 sensors (primarily the front o2) and using that feedback to adjust the fuel mixture. In open loop, the ecu does not use any feedback.
