I finally flashed my ECU for the first time on my 02 wrx which I edited using RomRaider and flashed with the Tari logger. I had been working on my ecu defs for awhile, especially the closed loop stuff, which I think I have ironed out (I'll post the updated xml soon). I was surprised how fast it flashed - much faster than flashing a base map with the AP.

As far as tuning, I was trying to hit closed loop sooner and with less delay (crazymikie been helping me with it). I also, wanted to raise my part throttle boost (tuner left it stock until 76% TPS) and also try to get rid of a boost spike I get in 5th gear at WOT under 3000 rpm. The spike is still there, but seems to be less. I haven't had a chance to log it yet. Since my car is ECUTEK tuned, it has boost/wastegate map switching. I further slowed my "valet" map by zeroing out all the target boost and WDC values so that it is super slow (no service joyrides today ).

So, just wanted to say thanks for a great program!

ECUFlash only writes the blocks of data you've changed. We updated Jojo's ECU with the latest version of his ECU about a month ago and it took a good 5 minutes to fully flash -- which is probably a little bit longer than AP, because it reads each block first to see if it has changed.

Anyway, glad you like it. :) Good luck on tuning, if it's not spiking too bad some WG duty adjustments should take care of it.

Yes, I've learned a lot about tuning from his posts and also from his help.
