Congrats on reading the whole thread there. We all know that he released his code and instructions to post your maps. But what was being discussed here was the use of LC on a 32-Bit ECU.

So, afaik, tiny hasn't released a single usdm 32bit patch... are you implying that turbotek made a patch or edited the logic?

I'll believe it when I see it, Ray said it himself he had no idea how to go about it... so by 'soon enough' you must mean, when tinywrex releases a patch for you.

:?

If it was actually developed by someone who doesn't work at TurboTek, would you be able to say who? I don't doubt that you have LC working on your car, but I am starting to wonder if you actually know who did the programming. And by 'programming' I mean modifying the code in the ECU, and writing a utility that applies those changes to ROM images - not just running a patching utility that someone else (tinywrex) created.

You can patch the ROM using a hex editor, or using Enginuity's xml switch tables, or it would take about 5 minutes to write an app in a high level language to patch a ROM. It is not rocket science. Then you would only need somebody that was a least decent with asssembly and knew the basics about these ECUs to create LC.

Now, something like real-time tuning (depending on the type) or speed density ROM code requires a more intimate knowledge of the ECU.

Or you could just wait for someone else to do all of that for you...

Bill, is that the same code as yours?

I don't know anything about any hack other than my own test releases. The only test release I did for LC with FFS for the 32-bit ECU was an 05 STi (maybe one other ECU, I can't remember). That said, LC is about the easiest hack there is, so it would not be difficult for someone with at least a passing knowledge of these ECUs to come up with one. Perhaps someone at Turbotek did it.

And I love it :)

Thanks Bill !
