That post says 02-05 WRX.
Aren't those the same ecus that tinywrex posted his LC for?

But he says hes using it on his own 32-bit car.
I'm puzzled.

Quote: they didnt release it, someone just released the part of the file that needs to be written to the definitions. its a pita took me a few hours to get them on the def and get it working. 'they' referring to 'OS' as in OpenSource. Definitions huh?

The fact that Ray@turbotek would even write this tells me that they did not develop launch control. As we all know there is more to LC than just defs. I don't know if they are using tinywrex's LC or someone else's. However, their release is suspiciously coincidental with tinywrex's. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ?t=1438419

Quote: tinywrex released the patch for the ecu logic to get implemented not the rom, so you have to go through those steps 1st. then you have to go into ecuflash and edit the ecu defs for each 16 bit ecu and copy the code. Boooourns.

The only test release I did for LC with FFS for the 32-bit ECU was an 05 STi (maybe one other ECU, I can't remember). That said, LC is about the easiest hack there is, so it would not be difficult for someone with at least a passing knowledge of these ECUs to come up with one. Perhaps someone at Turbotek did it.

vypurr wrote: I can't say much more, other than you can buy it from my shop TurboTekTuning! If it was actually developed by someone who doesn't work at TurboTek, would you be able to say who? I don't doubt that you have LC working on your car, but I am starting to wonder if you actually know who did the programming. And by 'programming' I mean modifying the code in the ECU, and writing a utility that applies those changes to ROM images - not just running a patching utility that someone else (tinywrex) created.
