I have the logger save to my desktop. I keep it connected often. Every time I shut the car off while my laptop is still on and connected to the ecu, it saves a small log of the car turning off. After a couple days my desktop is full of 10 line logs that dont mean anything. Any way to fix this??

ecuexplorer does the same thing...probably a pulse on the defogger line during shutdown

Yup, agreed with Airboy.
Annoying but tolerable I guess.

i've noticed this myself during testing and had a look at it but unfortunately there is little i can do. if the ecu sends a dud defogger switch signal, the logger is unable to distinguish between this and a genuine signal. all you can do is to disconnect the logger from the ecu via the red disconnect button, ctrl-d or exiting the logger altogether before you switch the car off.

Only thing I can think of is maybe a logic check before it saves the log file. It seems like when it saves a dud, its usually less than 300 bytes. So if the file is less than 300 bytes, dont save it??

Another option is to not save it if the time logged is less than one second.
