[Update Oct 18, 08]Note: the spreadsheet is only compatible with MS Excel
"Log file interpolation ver4p0j public"
-workaround for Excel bug in the graphing macro: will crash if Y1 has 1 trace and Y2 has more than 1.
-auto select "Throttle Opening Angle" as Throttle data in Boost and WG interpolation page (for compatibility)

[Update Oct 17, 08]Note: the spreadsheet is only compatible with MS Excel
"Log file interpolation ver4p0i public"
- Import File macro will default to look for *.csv files
- added compatibility with newer ECUs that use Requested Torque for Boost and WGDC tables
- added IAT compensation for Timing Calculations
- re-did the Graphing function to allow selection of items for different Y axes
- added Throttle map page to calculate the "Pedal to Throttle" map
- added Timing Total page to display the sum of Base and Advance tables
- added table rescaler page from mickeyd2005
- Accel page auto-calculates the 3~6k rpm elapsed time
- Accel page allows storing/comparing two Averaged runs (still need to add support for Auto Tranny)
- misc clean up

[Update Feb 06, 08] Note: the spreadsheet is only compatible with MS Excel
"ver3p7c Jan08"
- Added function to simplify transferring tables from RomRaider into the spreadsheet. It takes care of the offset in the first row headers. Now, all you have to do is "Copy Table" in RomRaider, go to the appropriate spreadsheet page, select a cell in an empty area, "Ctrl-V" to paste the table. Click the Image button and the macro will clear the old table and replace it with the new one. You can fill the entire spreadsheet with tables from a new ROM in about a minute.

- Added ability to store traces from one log file so you can compare the results with a second log file.

- Added Road Dyno functionality to estimate WHP from RPM vs time data. Two runs can be averaged.
Image

- cleaned up the code a bit to make things run quicker without screen flickering.

[Update Apr 18, 07]
"v2p8 public Apr 18"
Added buttons to adjust cells in "Advance" and "AFR Target" pages

[Update Apr 16, 07]
"v2p7 public Apr 16"
Added buttons to to adjust cells values in Base Timing map
Added alternate method to marking cells used in Timing Interpolation.
Screenshot is here: viewtopic.php?t=1592
Added some (more) comments on first page.

[Update Feb 17, 07]
"v2p5 public" is the latest version
- Fixed Boost Target compensation (atmospheric) calculation error (needed to apply compensation to target table in absolute pressure form)
- Added "proper" Boost Target Compensation (atmospheric) for 32bit ECU ('06 WRX and '05 STi) based on newly ID'd parameters. You can thank Merchgod for that :)

For Atmospheric compensation of Boost Target, you just select the car model in the "Boost Target" page. The table is filled out automatically and ready for use by the interpolate function in the "Boost and WG interpolate" page

[Update Feb 3, 07]
note: ver 2p2 has broken "Color Map" buttons on a couple of pages
Get the replacement "Log file interpolation v2p2a public.zip" instead.

-added WGDC and Boost target calculation page
-added textbox on Data page to show name of imported log file

The WGDC addition should be fairly self-explanatory but you can pm me if have questions.

One thing that the WGDC and boost interpolation page can be used for is to check boost and WGDC in part throttle operation to see if you have too little WG in part throttle, etc. You would need to manually plot the calculated results against logged data using "Time" as the x-axis.

[Update Dec 14]
-added Engine Load calculation from MAF(g/s) and RPM
-"pre-select" data items in list boxes for log files generated by Engiunuity or ecuExplorer. This should make it even faster/easier to graph what you want
-general clean up of list box filling/clearing

[Update]
I combined the function of the older worksheets (Timing, AFR, data plotting) into one file and moved the interpolation calculations from the cells to inside the VB Macros so now it should be a little cleaner and handle some common errors when using maps from different ECUs.

Let me know if you run into any problems using the spreadsheet.

Wrote (more like hacked and slashed) the macros because I got tired of always loading, editing, graphing the results from log files.

The macros in this spreadsheet will:

-Import the data file
-Remove non-WOT data (if you want to)
-Graph selected parameter(s) on second page
new
-allow user to select timing and/or AFR data and plot against map values

You'll still have to format the graph to your liking though.

Hope the macros work in different versions of MS Excel as I had problems with one or two "Methods" on Office 97.

[EDIT] I noticed that the spreadsheet (well, Excel in general) has problems with the file names that ecuExplorer generates. Think it is the length and symbols used. Renaming the log file should rid the error during import operation.

File has been updated to include Timing and AFR interpolation functionality from earlier spreadsheets.

The first page (should be the default page when you open up the file) of the spreadsheet has some information on what the buttons do.

Looks like you have macros security setting at "high" where it requires "signed" macros (I don't even know what that means). Go to Tools--Options--Security--Macro Security and change it to "Medium". Now Excel will ask for permission to open files with macros, signed or not.

Give that a try.
